Udimet Alloy L-605 / Haynes Alloy 25 is a solid solution strengthened cobalt-chromium-tungsten nickel alloy which combines excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance to 2000°F with good resistance to sulfidation, wear and galling.
Udimet ® alloy L605 (Haynes ® alloy 25) is a Cobalt-Chromium-Tungsten solid-solution strengthened alloy with excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. This alloy also has good fatigue resistance and galling resistance.
Haynes 25 is a cobalt-based alloy which combines good formability and excellent high-temperature properties. At 1800°F, Haynes 25 sheet has a 100 hour stress-rupture strength of 7000 psi. The alloy is resistant to oxidation and carburization to 1900°F.
Udimet Alloy® L605 is a cobalt-chromium-tungston-nickel alloy. It has good formability, high strength to 1500°F (816°C), and good oxidation resistance to 2000°F (1093°C). The material also has good sulfidation resistance and resistance to wear and galling.
Alloy L605 (also referenced as HAYNES® 25) is the strongest of the fabricable cobalt alloys, useful for continuous service to 1800°F. Because of its long and widespread use, this alloy has been the subject of many investigations to determine its properties over a wide range of conditions, thus making it an unusually well characterized material.
